Grinders for magnetic materials

The top grinding quality, high productivity, very short set up times, low requirement for tooling and reliability of the RSM.10 grinders for motor arc segments and slabs are the main reasons of their success. These thru-grinders are the grinding solution used by most magnet manufacturers worldwide.
Our range of grinders covers all the production requirement of the ferrite and rare earth arc segments and slabs manufacturers. Depending on the customer's needs, the RSM.10 grinders can be provided with two, three, four or five grinding stations and with several types of optional devices.

The productivity of these grinders depends mostly on the stock allowance to be removed and normally varies between 80 and 150 meters/hour (i.e. between 52 and 98 inches / minute). Set up time: most of the set up operations are carried out outside the machine, while the grinder is still working on the previous batch; so the time in which the machine has to be stopped is less than 45 minutes.

When it is necessary to grind also the OR chamfer or the end surfaces of the magnets, our grinders type RSM.10 for arc segments can be automatically connected to our Chamfering and Ends Grinding Machines type ACM.3 and ACM.5.

The maximum chord width that can be ground is 100 mm
To cover the complete range of chord widths, as shown above, it will be necessary two use different sets of interchangeable guides.
